The University of EAST Bill 1999 has been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh on 10th September, 1999 and Assented to by the Governor of Sindh on 21st July 2004, is hereby published as an Act of the Legislature of Sindh. THE UNIVERSITY OF EAST ACT 2004, SINDH ACT NO XI OF 2004, first published after having received the assent of the Governor of Sindh in the Gazette of Sindh (Extraordinary) dated 28th July, 2004.

The University of EAST is one of the recent generations of Pakistan Universities, established in the private sector in August 2004 at Hyderabad. The name of university was selected on the abbreviation of Engineering, Arts, Science and Technology . With the mission to create opportunities of education and establish center of excellence both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, producing doctors, engineers and professionals to contribute towards the development and progress of the country charter by the Government of Sindh in Aug.2004 and recognized by Higher Education Commission. The University Of East envisages to grow as a modern center of excellence both nationally and internationally, having inspiration from diverse eastern and western tradition.


University of EAST is seriously committed to improve the quality of business and technical education in Pakistan. The University is managed by a group of dedicated professionals and academicians who have committed their lives to the cause of higher education in Pakistan. INSHALLAH University will play an important role in the professional and personal development of our students. Grant Attracts Minorities to STEM Fields

The University of Texas at El Paso has received a five-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for nearly $2.9 million. The “Science for a Sustainable Future: Developing the Next Generation of Diverse Scientists” award will provide fellowships to minority graduate students in NSF-supported disciplines such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The doctoral students will build their science and teaching portfolios and bring their leading research findings into K-12 learning settings in an effort to inspire the next generation of scientists.
